Celebrating 35 Years of Mon Valley Habitat for Humanity

Building Brighter Futures on Firm Foundations

For Families in Marion, Monongalia, and Preston Counties

On August 8, 1990, Mon Valley Habitat was founded with a mission to build homes, community, and hope. For 35 years, we’ve had the honor of serving our communities—thank you for being part of the journey. Construction began on the first Habitat home in mid-August 1992, and was completed in 1993, just three years after our organization began. Since then, we have completed 72 homes with the help of our generous donors, dedicated volunteers, and partnerships with the faith community, local businesses, and financial institutions. We’re excited to have broken ground on our 73rd and 74th homes in Morgantown.
