The sound of hammers and hope fills the air on Saxman Avenue as Mon Valley Habitat for Humanity officially breaks ground on our newest construction project! These two beautiful three-bedroom, two-bathroom homes will soon become the foundation for a deserving family’s American Dream right here in Monongalia County. With energy-efficient design, modern amenities, and the unwavering support of our incredible volunteer community, this build represents more than just construction – it is the physical manifestation of neighbors helping neighbors create lasting change.

We’re looking for two low-to moderate-income families who will turn these houses into homes. They’ll experience homeownership education, complete sweat equity hours, and unwavering support throughout the process. From financial literacy workshops to hands-on construction training, they will demonstrate their commitment to not just owning a home but truly making it a cornerstone of their family’s future. Every nail driven and every wall raised will bring them one step closer to holding those keys and walking through their very own front door for the first time.
