Breaking Ground on Norwood Hills

Get ready to build something great! Within the next month, we’ll break ground on two brand-new homes on Saxman Avenue in Morgantown. These thoughtfully designed three-bedroom, two-bathroom homes will provide safe, affordable, and welcoming spaces for their future homeowners. We anticipate the homes will be completed and move-in ready by late spring 2026. Preapplications will open soon for qualified families who meet our criteria for need, income, and ability to pay. Qualified applicants will have the opportunity to purchase a home through a 20- to 30-year mortgage. Stay tuned for more information about the application process on our website and social media sites.

Robinson Street is Move-In Ready

Hammering has stopped, the paint has dried, and three beautiful homes in Fairmont are ready to welcome their new families! These three-bedroom, two-bathroom homes represent more than just construction – they’re the foundation for generational change.
Two homes are still available! Do you know someone in Marion County who dreams of homeownership? Encourage them to visit monvalleyhfh.org and click the Homeownership tab to submit a preapplication. Remember, Habitat offers a hand-up, not a hand-out, with our 0% interest mortgages and affordable payments for low-to moderate-income families.
Grant Support
Special thanks to the following groups for supporting our mission:
- Westfield Insurance Company and United Security Agency for $4,500.
- Erie Insurance for a generous $2,000 grant supporting our Norwood Hills project.
- Fahe awarded us a $50,000 unrestricted grant for construction and future program expansion.
Planning for the Future

Our momentum continues to build! We’re currently developing a comprehensive grant proposal to submit to the Federal Home Loan Bank for a project we hope to launch in 2026. We’re grateful to work with John and Michelle Connor of Full Quiver Consulting and Michael Biafore of Biafore Landscape Development, LLC (chair of our construction committee) as we craft a plan for this exciting opportunity.
