Habitat recycled paint

Let’s make good use of that leftover paint…

Our Habitat ReStore has a latex paint recycling program; your unused, leftover latex paint can now be professionally remixed and resold! Not only does the program provide community members a simple way to get rid of their leftover latex paint, it also provides an environmentally and economically friendly solution to a common problem. The Recycled Paint Program helps keep our community’s water supply free of potential contaminants and lowers the amount of dried latex paint going to landfills.

$12/gallon

how does it work?

We sort the cans of paint by type (interior or exterior) and sheen (glossy, semi-gloss, satin, eggshell, and flat). The sorted paint is then inspected, shaken, filtered, and mixed in large barrels with long industrial mixers. The mixed paint is filtered for a second time and then repackaged for resale to the public.

We never know exactly what color a batch will produce, and we cannot duplicate that color, but we do provide color samples and information on each can we sell.
